Title: Life As a Spectator

Words and music by Adam King

Life as a spectator never really made sense
Watching them go like cats and dogs, while I'm still sitting on the fence
And life's going quick, but at least it revolves around me
Compassion is over-rated, as long as I'm keeping busy

This job as a depressed writer isn't cramping my style
Cause it's easy to be pretty when no one's criticising your smile

Chorus:
I'm groping in the dark
Flashes of light blinding me
Growing cold in my art
Is there something beyond this misery?

My life flashes by like it got thrown by electric wire
So I guess I'll buy your story, as long as you've got points for the frequent flyer
Cause life's going quick, but at least it revolves around me
I've got a lot of love for them, as long as they've got enough for me

And I approve this crude Creator, cause he colour-coordinates to my tastes
And I dare not call him Father, cause what if his mom gets irate?

Chorus:
I'm groping in the dark
Flashes of light blinding me
Growing cold in my art
Is there something beyond this mystery?
